Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Micro-moths blog and the Macro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Yellow-spot Tortrix - Pseudargyrotoza conwagana .

Yellow-spot Tortrix - Pseudargyrotoza conwagana . A micro moth species from the family of Tortricidae, subfamily Tortricinae. The moth has a wingspan of 11 to 15 mm. With a wingspan of approximately 13 mm, it is one of the smaller Tortricidae. The conspicuous yellow blotch identifies this colourful moth when at rest. The species' habitat is a wide range, including hedgerows and gardens. This moth is on the wing from May to July it can often be seen flying during the day around its main foodplant, Ash. The species’ life history shows that the larvae also feed on Privet. This species is classified as common in the UK.
