Long-horned Flat-body- Carcina quercana. A micro moth species from the family of Peleopodidae . The moth has a wingspan of 16 to 22 mm. A smallish but brightly coloured moth with noticeably long antennae. This moth is on the wing in July and August - it is nocturnal and comes to light. Its habitat Is well wooded areas. The species’ life history is that its foodplants are various deciduous trees, including Oak and Beech. Occurring fairly frequently throughout Britain. The species is classified as common in the UK.
