Iā€™m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

Chervil Flat-body - Depressaria sordidatella.

A micro moth species from the family of Depressariidae, sub family Depressariinae.

The moth has a wingspan of Wingspan 18 to 22 mm.

It is relatively plain. Slightly glossy, less heavily marked forewing than similar species.

Its favoured habitat is in open grassland or farmland areas and damp meadows.

The moths can be found on the wing in July and August..

The species' life history is the larvae feed on Cow Parsley and sometimes other plants such as Hemlock, in rolled or spun terminal leaves.

This species is classified as Nationally Scarce B.
