Black-headed Dwarf-Elachista atricomella.

Black-headed Dwarf-Elachista atricomella. A micro moth species from the family of Elachistidae. The moth has a wingspan of 11 to 13 mm. The moths can be found on the wing any time between May and September and is attracted to light. Like related species, the larva Leaf-mine blades of grass, in this case usually Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), forming a thin whitish mine. In Autumn and March to May. It is widespread and classified as a common species in the UK.
