Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Micro-moths blog and the Macro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Barred Grass-veneer-Agriphila inquinatella

Quite distinctive but variable, with its whitish or creamy ground colour suffused with darker markings. The moth's preferred habitat is dryer grassy areas. The species is on the wing from July to September; light can attract it. The larvae feed the roots and stems of various types of grass. Including sheep’s fescue, Bristle bent and meadow grasses.
