Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Micro-moths blog and the Macro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Banded Hedge Grey - Isotrias rectifasciana

This species is sexually dimorphic, with the males being generally larger and with less distinct forewing markings. This moth can be found on the wing from May and June, from dusk onwards. Its habitat is in well-wooded areas. The species’ life history of the early stages is imperfectly known, though in captivity they have fed on Hawthorn. This species is classified as local in the UK.
