Maple Button - Acleris forsskaleana.

Maple Button - Acleris forsskaleana. A micro moth species from the family of Peleopodidae . The moth has a wingspan of 12 to 17 mm This yellowish species has a distinctive reticulated pattern on the forewing and a variably sized greyish suffusion across the centre. This moth is on the wing in July and August its flight period is from dusk onwards. Its habitat Is woodland, long grassy areas gardens etc. The species’ life history is Larval stage is September to June. Relatively common in certain parts of Britain with most records coming from southern and north-western England. The species is classified as common in the UK.
