Striped Wainscot - Mythimna pudorina A micro moth species from the family of Noctuidae, sub family Hadeninae. The moth has a wingspan of 35 to 38 mm. More rounded wings than similar related species. Its preferred habitat is Prefers chalk or limestone districts. The moths can be found on the wing in June and July and are attracted to light. The species' life history is that the larvae feed on marshland grasses, including Common Reed, Purple Moor-grass and Reed Canary-grass. This species is classified as local.
