Straw Dot - Rivula sericealis.

Straw Dot - Rivula sericealis. A macro moth species from the family of Erebidae subfamily Rivulinae A small buff-coloured moth with a dark spot on each wing. The moth has a wingspan of 18-22 mm. The moth as two generations from June to July and August to September. The moth favours many habitats, damp meadows and woodland are its favourite haunt. The larva foodplants are various types of grass. The moth is widespread and classified nationally as a Common species of the UK.
