Small Fan-footed Wave - Idaea biselata. A macro moth species from the family of Geometridae sub family Sterrhinae. The intensity of the markings varies, and one regular dark form has been named fimbriolata. The moth has a wingspan of 15-20 mm. The moth as one generation from June to August. The moth's habitat favours woodland, plantations, heaths, and gardens. The larvae feed from August through the winter on a variety of low-growing plants. The moth is widespread and classified nationally as a Common species of the UK.
