Ruddy Carpet - Catarhoe rubidata. A macro moth species from the family of Geometridae subfamily Larentiinae. The colourful combinations of pinks and browns make this an easy species to identify. An uncommon species Ruddy Carpet - Catarhoe rubidata. found locally in the southern parts of England and Wales. The moth has a wingspan of 26 to 31 mm. The moth as one generation from June to July. The moth's habitat favours open woodland, scrubland, downland, and sea cliffs. The moth is classified nationally as a Scarce B species of the UK.
