Iā€™m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

Green Silver-lines - Pseudoips prasinana.

The moth is from the family of Nolidae Sub family Chloephorinae.

It is a medium sized moth with a Wingspan 30-35 mm.

Another of the very few British green moths, it also has its distinctive silvery lines.

There are one generation flying from May-July.

The species Habitat is mature oak woodland.

The short, plump caterpillar feeds in August, mostly on Oak and Birch but also on other deciduous trees.

The moth is classed as a common species of the UK.
