Green Carpet - Colostygia pectinataria A macro moth species from the family of Geometridae :sub family Larentiinae A widespread and abundant species. The bright green colour of this moth when freshly emerged soon fades to a yellowish-brown. The moth has a wingspan of 22-27 mm The single generation flies from May to July. The moths inhabit a range of habitats, including heaths, mosses and woodland. The foodplants like many of its congeners, is Bedstraw. The moth is classified nationally as a common species in the UK.
