Great Prominent - Peridea anceps.

Great Prominent - Peridea anceps. The moth is from the family of Notodontidae sub family- Notodontinae. It is a medium sized moth with a Forewing 23-32mm. There are one generation flying from April-June. The species Habitat is mature oak woodland. The larva feed on Pedunculate Oak and Sessile Oak. The moth is classed as a common species of the UK.
