I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The moth is from the family of Noctuidae – subfamily ---- Noctuinae.

It Is a medium-sized macro moth, with a wingspan of 35 to 50 mm.

Appearing in any month between March and November, but most abundant between August and October.

The species visits various habitats including coastal.

The larvae feed below ground at night, on various herbaceous plants including their roots.

However, breeding in the UK as never been reliably proven.

The moth is as an immigrant and occurs throughout the UK.
