Common Wave - Cabera exanthemata

The moth is from the family of Geometridae – subfamily ---- Ennominae.

It Is a small-sized macro moth, with a wingspan of 30 to 35mm. Slightly larger than the Common White Wave.

The moth has two generations and its flight season is from late May to July and July to September.

The moth's habitat is mainly damp woodland and marshy areas.

It overwinters as a pupa amongst plant debris or close to the surface in soil.

The Larva appears from late June to October, often found in a wide range of sizes.

The species feed on Willow and Aspen.

The moth is classed as common and well distributed throughout the UK,
