Iā€™m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

Brown Silver-line, Petrophora chlorosata.

The moth is from the family of Geometridae, subfamily Ennominae.

It Is a medium-sized macro moth, with a wingspan of 31 to 37 mm.

The moth as one generation and its flight season is from May to June.

It then overwinters as a pupa underground

The larva appears from mid-June to early September,

The lava feed on bracken.

The moth's habitat is mainly were its foodplant occurs in woodland, heathland and moorland locations.

The moth is a resident common species throughout most of the UK
