Twin-spotted Quaker - Anorthoa munda. A macro moth species from the family of Noctuidae subfamily Hadeninae. Blackish twin spots are usually obvious, but in some forms, these are reduced to barely discernible rufous marks, or obsolete. The moth has a wingspan of 38 to 44 mm. The moth as one generation from March to April. The moth's habitat favours broad-leaved woodland. The caterpillars feed in early summer on various trees, including Oak, Aspen, and Willow. The moth is classified nationally as a Common species in the UK.
