Muslin Moth - Diaphora mendica. A macro moth species from the family of Erebidae subfamily Arctiinae. This moth Shows a distinct sexual dimorphism, the males of this moth are soft grey or grey, brown, and the females are white, both sparsely speckled with black. The moth has a wingspan of 28 to 38 mm. The moth as generation from April to June. The moth's habitat favours woodland, downland, and suburban habitats. The larvae feed on a variety of low plants, including Dock and Chickweed. The moth is widespread and classified nationally as a common species of the UK.
