Latticed Heath - Chiasmia clathrata. A macro moth species from the family of Geometridae sub family Ennominae. Quite a variable species, with several named forms and subspecies, and the ground colour varying from yellowish to white. The moth has a wingspan of 20-25 mm. The moth as two generations from May to June and again July to Sept. The moths favour a range of open habitats, including moorland, grassland and waste ground. The larva foodplants are Lucerne and Clover. The moth is classified nationally as a common species of the UK.
