Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

Iā€™m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Macro-moths blog and the Micro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Antler Moth - Cerapteryx graminis The Antler moth has a wingspan of 27 to 39 mm. This distinctively marked moth is common over much of the British Isles, occurring on Heathland, grassland, fens and scrub, and other open areas. The larvae feed on various types of grass, sometimes abundantly, and the species is well-known for its ability to devastate large tracts of grassland on high ground. They have one generation and fly from July-Sept and can be seen flying during the day and at night when they come to light. The moth is classed as a common species of the UK
