Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Macro-moths blog and the Micro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Dewick's Plusia-Macdunnoughia confusa

Dewick's Plusia-----Macdunnoughia confusa.

The moth is from the family of Noctuidae– subfamily ---- Plusiinae.

It Is a medium-sized macro moth, with a wingspan of 32 to 38mm.

This moth is a vagrant to Britain, having occurred only a few dozen times,

on the south and east coasts. August is the optimum month for this species,

but records have occurred between July and October.

The larval foodplants are common nettle, yarrow, mayweeds, and other plants.
